The Second Rescue

Troy was surprised at how strong Olivia was. Considering the cold and how inadequately protected Olivia was, she stubbornly insisted on helping shovel her truck free.

Troy, working as furiously as he could, kept his eyes planted on the work he had to do while doing small talk with Olivia. That was until she asked the unexpected.

“Troy, it’s OK if you have a thing for helping a girl in distress” Olivia blindsided.

“I beg your pardon” Troy blurted as he stopped shoveling to catch his breath.

“You’re too hyper focused on shoveling, considering what little I am wearing” Olivia pointed out.

“So…” trailed Troy.

“You’re as straight as the next guy, just polite” observed Olivia.

“You got all of this from how I’m shoveling around your tires?” Troy wondered as he resumed working on digging.

“No silly. I got this from how focused you are on not getting caught looking at me” Olivia giggled.

“Oh” Troy couldn’t think of anything clever to say. He was really trying hard not to gawk at Olivia.

“You can look, politely of course” Olivia teased.

“I’m good. The sooner this truck is cleared, the sooner you get behind the wheel. It’s too cold to be this stubborn” Troy remarked.

“I’m being helped by a good looking guy, it would be a shame to waste your car’s headlights and not enjoy seeing you help me” Olivia flirted.

“You’re in luck then. I forgot to turn off my car” Troy joked.

The two resumed work. Eventually, the cold got the better of Olivia and she retreated to her truck to thaw out.

After some time, Troy examined his work and was pleased to see that there was sufficient clearance to get the truck going. However, the accumulation had grown enough that it might be pointless.

“You tell me what to do, sir” teased Olivia from her partially opened window.

“This is a long shot” Troy informed with regret.

“I have faith in my knight” Olivia continued flirtatiously.

“OK. I’m going to push, I can’t get in front and tow you. Nice and easy” Troy instructed.

“Yes sir!” Olivia licked her lips before closing her window and shivering.

Once in position, Troy tapped the back of the truck and gave a massive shove.

The tires slithered and sang their famous “zzzz” duet as the S10 slowly made progress out of it’s holes.

Olivia kept steadily making progress while very worried.

“Don’t stop… keep going!” yelled Troy as he watched Olivia continue to struggle to keep going.

Olivia honked and keep feathering the pedal to keep her momentum going.

As Troy made his way back to his car, he looked at the ruts that held Olivia captive. She had put on a serious fight.

Once in the Civic and thawing, Troy laughed at his dash as it flashed Aiden’s name.

“No… I’ve not gotten to Jen yet” Troy headed off Aiden.

“Why?!? My future bride is stuck in the snow! You have to go help her” cried Aiden.

“How do you know?” Troy wondered.

“She called me. She’s scare. Sally is out there digging her out” Aiden fumed in worry.

“Then, Jen will be fine” Troy pretended to be mean.

“I tried getting my truck out, but the snow and ice is too much. I’m counting on you” Aiden implored.

“What if I so called exploit the situation” Troy teased.

“Not with Jen you don’t. This is so not the time for paybacks man. Don’t mess around like that!” yelled Aiden.

“Easy killer. Easy. I’m not that way. I’m heading towards Jen as we speak” Troy announced as he slipped into gear and began his return to Jen and Sally.
