It’s just too cold
Try as Aiden could, the Impala was not starting. This was the second time he was charging the battery. Every trick in the book failed to work.
“I think I should try” Jen asked once more.
“Don’t worry about this, I’ll figure it out. It’s cold. I don’t want you to freeze” Aiden said through chattering teeth.
“Let me just call Sally. She knows what this car needs” implored Jen.
Aiden saw the worried look on Jen’s face. His heart melted. His desires to assure her and also get this car started was keeping him very stubbornly trying. But the car refused to fire up.
“What did Sally do differently?” Aiden swallowed his pride.
“It’s hard to describe, but she did this pedal thing and talked to the car” Jen recollected.
“No way I’m talking to a machine that can’t respond to my voice” Aiden nearly laughed.
The pain of being nearly frozen was getting the best of him. Aiden was growing desperate. Every systems in the car seemed to work. But the motor would not catch and start.
“OK. I’m coming in to warm up” Aiden finally admitted defeat with a huff.
Jen and Aiden sat in his truck. Feeling dejected, Aiden sulked a little at his failure to rescue Jen and move the Impala for her.
His mind wondered to a darker place as he watched her fingers shoot a series of texts. If Troy came and rescued the Impala, Jen’s feelings for Troy could grow. Doubt crept in. What if Troy had a thing for Jen? What if…?
“How close are you to Troy anyway?” the words stumbled out of Aiden’s mouth before he could gather himself.
“What do you mean?” Jen looked up very puzzled.
“I’m not jealous or anything, just curious?” Aiden backpedaled.
“What can I say… you sound very jealous right now” Jen sternly fired back before resuming her texting.
Aiden bit his lip. His desires to claim Jen was growing. His bulge in his pants was safely hidden by his heavy coat. If only he could get the car started, he could see her drive in the snow and enjoy fantasizing about helping her get unstuck.
“Did you just groan or was that your tummy rumbling?” Jen was staring intensely into Aiden.
“I didn’t hear anything” Aiden defended.
Jen put down her phone and exhaled shallowly.
“Aiden. Be real with me. I can’t deal with anything less than real from you” Jen laid down openly.
“OK. I have a massive crush on you and I would love nothing more than be a knight in shining armor right here right now and you show your appreciation and devotion by…” Aiden blurted and stopped abruptly.
“Let me guess… giving you head” Jen finished for him.
Aiden’s jaw dropped and his face lost all color. He needed to get composed and pull himself together, but the bulge in his pants was now getting painful.
“I must sound pitiful, but yeah, that’s the deal” claimed Aiden.
“You’re going to have to do a little better than that Aiden” Jen chastised gently.
“Jen, I’d like you to be my girlfriend” Aiden smiled weakly.
“That’s your version of better?” Jen questioned.
Aiden looked out the window. This was not how things were supposed to go. His heart was racing. His head was spinning. This was not the way he wanted to win over Jen’s affection, but he couldn’t back out now. What would Troy have done?
“You want real. That’s real. I want you. Period” Aiden mustered in-between shivering.
“Then what?” Jen quietly asked.
“You’re mine, I take care of you, you take care of me, we get freaky” Aiden ventured with fingers crossed.
“I still think you can do better than that, but you’re freezing, that must be affecting your game” Jen teased as she resumed texting.
A confused Aiden sat quietly. Secretly hoping that Troy would not show up at all.
