“Don’t’ laugh, but there’s a wave of pride I got to expel from my veins” Troy overly shared.
“I like that you’re proud of me” stammered Sally as she felt her face glow bright red.
Troy held back. He wanted to ask Sally to drive the Impala. However, showing his hand and kink without the security of a mutually defined relationship was not his style. Troy suspected Sally would hate him for his kink and the friendship was going great at present. No need to risk anything.
“Excuse me a second” Troy politely asked before stepping around Sally.
Sally lowered her head and turned slightly away. Her body was calling out to Troy. Her heart was reaching out forcefully to his. Her inner lady was dancing a happy dance.
“Aiden, after you move your truck, it’s time for you to drive this bad boy out… be a hero” Troy instructed.
Aiden’s face whitened. This was horrible. This was not good. Troy had not only taken charge, but was setting him up to be the damsel in distress. Panic was crawling up his spine.
“Uh.. Yeah.. Sure” hesitated Aiden as he made his way to his truck to move it.
Jen started to climb by way of the deeper snow covering the grass. The vibe shift she felt in Aiden tugged at her like hunger pangs tugs as someone cramming for a final after a full night of study.
“I got this. It’s my grandpa’s car. I’ll drive” Jen huffed a little as she climbed.
Aiden parked his truck in the street. He regretted not taking his trailer to load up the Impala. He would have looked like a hero in front of Jen. Now, Troy was getting all the credit and Jen was rushing up to greet her hero.
“Troy, I’ll be with Jen” Sally announced.
“No worries. I’ll just back down, as it’s way to slick to control the decent. Stand clear” Troy ordered as he got into the car.
A quick rev to reset the choke, Troy slipped the car into reverse and very slowly backed up out of the garage. The rear started to descend as Troy controlled the car with the brakes. Everyone was watching and waiting for the inevitable slide down the incline.
Right before the front tires, which were slipping a little, hit the ice, Troy shifted the car into Drive and gunned the motor. The rear tires instantly lit up in a loud protest of “zzzzzz”.
“What is he doing?” yelled Jen to Sally over the roar of the V8.
“I don’t know” a worried Sally replied as she looked on.
Troy was looking back as if he intended to reverse down the driveway, yet, he was a good 40% throttle trying to climb back up.
Slowly releasing the brakes, the rear tires picked up speed as the transmission shifted through the gears and the car rolled back onto the ice and snow. With the front tires off the concrete of the garage, they locked up and started to slide. Troy pushed through to 50% throttle and the tires screamed “ZZZZZ”.
Aiden looked on from his truck in disbelief. Whatever Troy was doing was very different than anything anyone else would have done. The spewed snow and ice was accumulating behind the rear tires as they dug in quickly through to the surface. This seemed to slow the car’s slide in reverse and kept the car very controlled in it’s decent.
As Troy neared the bottom, he increased the power to ensure the tires kept digging. The tires were acting as anchors digging into the snow as more and more snow piled up behind the spinning tires. Just before the rear bumper reached the ‘landing’, Troy let off the gas and slipped the car into neutral and let gravity pull the car down to the roadway.
Whipping the wheel, Troy turned and let the car slowly slide to a halt on the other side of the road. Once stopped, Troy got out and looked at his handy work. Two clean polished lines showed where he had controlled his decent.
“Pull around, Aiden… you’re following. Your truck has the right bumper height to push in the event the Impala gets stuck” Troy flashed a smile and gave Aiden a thumbs up.
Aiden felt a wave of relief wash through him. He was now going to play the role of knight who would save Troy of all people. This was going to be super good. Well, close. Seeing Jen behind the wheel or Sally would have been much better than seeing Troy in distress. But, the alternative was far worse.
Sally was helping Jen down the driveway as Troy rushed to go assist. When he lost his footing, Jen gasped and tugged at Sally, who lost hers. The two slid down the incline and ended up in each other’s arms in the street, right where Aiden was once parked.
“I’m so glad Aiden had already moved, I would have hated to see you under the truck as he moved. Are you OK?” Troy asked… instantly cursing silently at himself for getting his statement ahead of his question.
“I’m fine. Are you?” Sally looked worriedly into Troy’s eyes.
