That morning, he had been very clear. Don’t go into the office. That’s all. There was going to be a little surprise there for later that night. All she had to do was not go into the office and touch anything.

Her mind was now racing with excitement. What could this surprise be? Whenever he had a surprise, it always caught her off-guard and was something they always managed to enjoy fully over and over. Kind of like the gift that kept on giving.

Being that it was her birthday this very day, an unknown surprise was definitely going to eat at her mind all day at work. And, on top of that, she needed to know and uncover this secret. She’d not be able to party hardy if she didn’t know what was left for last. He had that bad habit of keeping her in suspense very long.

As far as she was concerned, she had learned how to sneak under his radar and uncover things that were designed to be surprises. She knew so much more about him than he knew she knew, especially because he was not very forthcoming with his thoughts and feelings. Maybe, just maybe, she could use these skills to her advantage and take the edge off the waiting he had planned for her.

Rushing home during her lunch break, she headed up to his office in the house and went to look about. It wouldn’t be a huge deal. He’d never know. In no time, she’d have figured out what he had planned and be back on her way. After all, what he didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him. They’ve been very close a while now and she told him everything. The least he could do was return the favor.

It didn’t take her very long to uncover two boxes that weren’t in the office before. Well, actually, more like one gift wrapped box and one bigger one that looked like a musician’s trunk of some sort. While the trunk did surprise her, she turned her full attention to the obvious gift box. Quickly going to her room to get her “kit”, she went to work taking the wrapping off the box and discovering the contents within.

With great delight, she carefully placed all the contents across the desk and examined them like a child in a candy store uncovering gems of treats too excited to eat. She found a few toys that would spice up their bedroom life, a few pieces of leather, a bikini that would look amazing on her, and a few random things that must have been there to just fill the box.

Because she knew how exacting he was, she couldn’t risk trying them on. He’d know. So, she carefully placed everything back as it was. The leather strap was neatly placed on top as she found it. The paddle was second from the top. The bikini top went below that… and then some leather square bits of fabric she couldn’t make out it’s use… other than filler… went next before the bikini bottom was placed on the bottom.

She smiled as she wrapped everything back together as it was, bow included, and then turned her attention to the bigger box. He was not a musician, so it couldn’t be an instrument he was going to play with. To her amazement, the box seemed to be a part of the floor. Nothing she did would budge the box. Picking the locks turned out to be an epic fail too, something that never happened to her either. What could possibly be in that box? What could it be used for?

Considering how strong she knew she was, a box this heavy couldn’t have come up to the house by itself. He had to have had helped. Whatever was inside, couldn’t be something she’d use anyway, as nothing she ever wanted was that heavy to start with. With a shrug, she concluded that it was some new tech equipment that he was going to tinker with and try to hack.

It was time to go back to work. After all, he liked to come home for his lunch too. She couldn’t be found inside the house. So, off she went to soon forget that she had even came in snooping about his office. Of course, she made sure every single details was accounted for and all was put back as it was… even down to the way the door was ajar.

She had learned a long time ago, he was very strict and severe when she rifled through his things. She rubbed her rear a few times remembering that day years ago and shuttered. Never again!!!

Oh she had smartened up plenty. And to him, as far as she was concerned, nothing of the sort ever happened again. She smiled while still rubbing her tush… yeah, she had risen to the challenge and felt confident she’d pulled this off again.
