There is a question that has followed me through the ages, one others have asked, one that I’ve avoided to answer openly until now. Before I get to this question, a few pieces of business needs addressing.
For starters, Happy Mother’s Day. Moms are the biggest source of life humans know. Not only do they give birth and raise a human to adulthood, they shape and mold society in ways society can not yet fully appreciate. Without great awesome moms, civilizations as we know them would quickly stop being.
Second, my mom is super awesome. She gave me all the tools to learn all I could and be all I can be. While she would probably die knowing I write this blog, I trust no one will ever bring this to her attention.
Third, the mom in this story is not my mom. However, like many out there, there is no need for a direct biological connection for the motherly influence to have lasting impact. Her impact on me has forever changed my view of women. She established the framework that would characterize many things… you know what, let’s just cut to the story shall we.
