The Room

The miracle of teamwork was most valuable to him. He had no idea how things would play out for the Blue Lagoon. His mentor had burst in with a look of panic. Bonita had been hot on his heels with a look of urgency. The Mistress had quickly transitioned back to her wifely role and they all put their best effort to get him back up to speed.

There was no way to explain away all the marks over his body and the ache he would be feeling. However, there was no time for that. They were ready to reset all the devices. The twist now, however, he had had a change of heart. The room needed to be brought out of the cold angry state to a more educational state.

What felt like the biggest rush sprint of effort of their lives, they tore down all the contraptions, packed them, refitted the room with new devices, retested the fit with Bonita, and power refreshed the air of the room so that all traces and evidence of torture was now gone.

As Juan pulled up to the street of the house, a pair of taillights vanished around the corner of the next block. The mentor and his wife were being swiftly driven away by Bonita’s judicious and copious use of the right pedal. Boss Lady never suspected a thing. She was too busy mentally preparing herself for her meeting with her husband.

By now, she knew she was going to have to make correct her defiance. She loved being her own boss and love her power. However, she hated the way his eyes seemed ever disappointed in her. Every time she took the lead and forced her agenda, he just pulled back and just let her do her thing without being very engaged.

While they had other issues, the one that was the sticky point was her snooping. She thought she had outsmarted him. Now, she was going to face him not just as a valiant opponent, but also as her lover. The play made it seem so easy, just explain to him her feelings, apologize, and then make love and all would be well.

Her man was that kind of guy, however, she hadn’t pushed him as she had this very day. What if he opted to handcuff her and return the favor? That very thought bothered her masculine side to no end. There was just no taming this woman. She was her own lone wolf. But why was her feminine side so eager to be constrained? This made zero sense.

To her, giving up control meant becoming a total doormat. This was not going to be sustainable in their marriage. Yet, as she looked at the house, all dark and in sleep mode, would she be so lucky to have her husband sound asleep? This would be such a sweet gift if he was sound asleep. Kick this confrontation can down the road a bit more. She was not ready to submit to anyone, including her husband.

Why couldn’t he just leave this alone. Why couldn’t he be like some of the husbands she knew… the ones who just capitulated and allowed their women to rule in peace… in full verification of all things hubby… le sigh.

He was standing in the darkest corner of the living room. There was no sitting for him tonight. After the lessons of the night, he was going to find some way to lay on ice to ease up the burning marks all over his backside. The price of his surprise was a lesson he would never forget. For now, he was trying his best to look natural for her arrival into the house.

Juan was doing his job perfectly of keeping her at ease as she transitioned out of the limo. The gifts and all the goodies of the night would be handled so she could just focus on meeting her man for the night.

She entered the house and instantly was very aware of the strong masculine force of her husband. There were times when he would turn on this amazing aura. This was not the night for it. His power totally wrapped her up and left her searching for grounding. It was the kind of power that just made her wet and wild inside. The kind of feeling she was hoping he would not use to disarm her tonight.

As she quietly made her way across the affectionately named space, the lobby, she tried her best to glide up the spiral staircase towards the living room. Well, the second one anyway. If there was any place he would be waiting, it would be there.

Her heart picked up pace. She felt like a sheep walking a lone corridor fully aware that a wolf was on the other side of any one of the many doors. In this case, any of the upstairs rooms. He had every right to be upset too, but this was the closing minutes of her birthday, he should have enough compassion to let her win this round.

As she reached the landing, her heart nearly exploded with fright as the main clock quietly clicked off it’s midnight song. Hubby had made sure the clock had a very quiet song, as he was the light sleeper of the home. But, with all this adrenaline coursing through her veins at this moment, it might as well been a thermal nuclear reaction going off in her ears instead.
