The art of non-verbal communication may appear to be the art of women, it’s not exclusive to women, yet it is very critical that a man knows how to listen to the ways his lady communicates.
full disclosure… there is no standard way for humans to communicate… each has their own nuanced way… wise is the man who understands the unique ways his lady reaches out to him… and responds accordingly
It’s not all about reaction times either
There is this new current out there that wants man to respond to all a woman has to share. By all, meaning, if your lady says…”…”… you’re duty bound to listen and act. No. That’s not the way of the gentleman. That’s not the way of the wolf.
What is the way of the wolf? The way of a gentleman?
The alpha male listens to all channels of communications with care. Takes time to analyze as well as gather additional information. Then, makes an informed decision that is in the best interest of the pack.
In the wild, it is not necessary for the alpha wolf to investigate all the information being passed along to him. However, many alpha wolves will look closer into information… depending on the situation, the source, and the nature of the information… before acting on it. Not all moments require such in-depth verification as time may not allow that.
The wise man will do his due diligence to make the correct choice that will benefit his home. Not because his lady can’t be trusted. Not because his lady is misleading him with her information. It’s because as the alpha leader of the pack, he has to think about many variables and positions the whole pack to win.
This in no way implies that the man has the only final say in matters of the relationship or home. This just means that men should not hastily hand over their choice to their woman… or contribute haphazardly to the discussion. Just like women take their time to collect information and data, so must the man. Then both can sit and have a productive intelligent conversation that is productive.
Example. The lady may have this sudden brilliant idea that the couple needs a vacation to Abu Dhabi. In her excitement, she researches flight and gears up to book hotels. When she discusses this with her man, she uncovers that her time-line for this trip interferes with an important event she had forgotten about. The two then look at options. He makes a suggestion that works for the whole family. In time, they all go to Abu Dhabi and have a great time. super simplistic example
Another example. The man has this brilliant idea for a new entertainment system. He checked out prices, vendors, and even checked contractors to remodel the house to accommodate. After speaking with his leading lady, she points out a goal she’s had for two years from now. Both plans are doable. After some reflecting, he realizes that his project can either be scaled back or postponed so that they both get to enjoy both projects more fully.
The art of listening means that one has to put ego in check and look at all the facts and weight them smartly to ensure the benefit of the pack. Too many individuals have run forward on ego and unchecked instinct and created much ruin for their relationship.
