Ballerina’s Holiday

He just knew.

Then. Once she was ready, he took photos as if nothing had ever happened. The man had not even dared slip his hand over her knees and felt her thighs… as if he knew that their warmth would ache for more. He protected her spirit and made her feel like a million dollars.

That was a beautiful time. She looked at her phone, wanting to call, afraid to call. Worried she’d poison his happy life with her troubles.

He texted her and wished her the most wonderful of holiday season.

What a gentleman.

What a knight.

Belle did not know what she did to deserve such a great friend. One who she could trust completely. If there was ever a guy she would take a bullet for, it was her photographer. He allowed her to be in a world that just took and forced her to be something she was not.

He saw her for who she was and did not judge or ask her to change. He just allowed her to be.

Maybe that was all it was meant to be, a safe place, a safe holiday from the mundane drudgery called life.

Belle wished she knew. She hoped. One day, she could let him back in and he’d be available to continue doing what he’s always done… create a Ballerina Holiday for her to be.

That was it.

That’s what it was. A Ballerina Holiday. A moment in time where she didn’t have to dance and perform for anyone. Just enjoy the joys of being a beautiful woman who is appreciated by a discerning man.

That was a priceless friendship.

As Belle looked at her phone, she hesitated to text him. Not just because her boyfriend would have a million question as to why she texted another man, but because she had started to forget how to be completely transparent and naked in front of a gallant man of valor.

Putting her phone away, she promised to be available the next time her photographer called to set up a photo session. He always did. Even when he was insanely busy. He always called.

She would be ready. This time, she’d flirt her best for his camera and enjoy the by-standing men get hard with envy, jealousy, and desire.

At least her dark wings had a halo that only her photographer saw.

In that moment, she would dance just for the lens, she’d be free to be herself… and wonder how such a good man never got poisoned by the venom that bled from all the cracks of a broken heart nearly turned to ice.

Come on Spring… let mamma thaw out a bit… because it’s really cold out. Belle needs another Ballerina Holiday!
