This week, we’ve had a bit of action take over the series “Story Behind the Pink”. At the end of this short post will be a link to all the chapters that have been shared already as we get ready for the next chapter this coming weekend.

Given how dark everything is starting to be… I can assure my readers that things will turn around… hopefully. I’m writing this as I go along and sharing as I go along.

Brief Recap

Andrew is this talented man who has decided to work at a the company of his dreams. He has a coworker named Kate who is making his blood boil with excitement. He wants to date her. He’s scared of his feelings because they’re so intense.

He has no idea that Kate also wants to date him. As far as Andrew is concerned, Kate is spoken for. This causes him to struggle with is own emotions.

To make matters worse, Andrew is also afraid of something. He calls this his demon. He is struggling with intense feelings of attraction that he feels will ruin him.

Some readers have expressed their displeasure at the role Mrs Edward has played in the life of Andrew. Sadly, this coming weekend, you’ll probably hate her all the more.

Mr Edward is having a struggle of his own. He’s aware that something went wrong for Andrew and now can’t figure out what it was and how to help his son. Mr Edward takes his own trip down memory lane and starts to unpack the things he didn’t do and their impact on Andrew.

To complicate matters, the community is expecting Andrew to get married soon. A lot of effort is starting to take shape behind the scenes to push an arranged marriage for Andrew. (yes… minor spoiler… very minor spoiler)

No one who is arranging this marriage is aware that Andrew has the hots for Kate. Kate has no idea how much Andrew is struggling with his feelings of attraction.

If Andrew had his way, he would have stayed late at work one day and made Kate scream his name in full passionate heat while the copier machine shoots out copies of the imprint of their sin. This of course mortifies the sensibilities of Andrew… who thinks these feelings are the most evil and vile things to hold for another human being.

The question of why that is… one has to read the whole story to know.

Unanswered questions

Why did Mrs Edward react the way she reacted in the last chapter? What impact will that have on Andrew? How come the father did not say anything then? What of the siblings? What are their views? (and why don’t they have names… lol)

The one question I’ve yet to answer for you as a creative… is the connection with Pink. That… I have to really sit and figure out so that each person reading this will be satisfied with the answer… when I figure it out.

Will we ever find out what really happened to the Pink Cadillac? I know some of my fans are motorheads like me… and they really do want to know what happened that day. Which of course leads to the other question… what of the first incident that Andrew does not want to discuss… even with the narrator of the story?

There were several incidences… and last week we saw one. This weekend coming, we’ll see it from another vantage point of view… which leads the question… what is this third incident that Andrew experienced that left him standing a bit more cold and withdrawn?

Until I write all these pieces, for now, the main question to handle is… will my readers love the coming installment… hummm
