Happy One Year

Just took a moment to look at the posting history. The blog has reached one year of existence. I’m totally amazed by how much writing has taken place on this blog alone. Solidly in the six figures in terms of word count.

I know that word count is not a whole lot. However, for most writers, we gauge their progress in terms of word counts and publishers do the same. So, for me, to have cleared six figures worth of writing is more than mind blowing

To you, my dear readers, and faithful followers, thank you!!! I am so glad you’re coming along this journey to read the thoughts of a guy who once was scared to write fiction.

I’ve been able to chat with many on social media and make friends I probably wouldn’t have made if I had not started blogging this intensely.

My first post went live March 14, 2017. I was a nervous wreck. Not because I was new to blogging, but this type of content was something way out of my comfort zone.

A bit over a year later, I’m working on my first book in this genre with plans for more books in the future. I have not done any serious marketing (other than my Instagram). Yet, I hear people talk about how they love what I write. This blows my mind.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Without you, I would have given up… on the count of being too nervous to put ideas out like this. Especially those who have taken time to leave me comments… such powerful encouragement.

A Few Stats

I don’t like to do vanity stats… but I will make an exception today. I want to encourage other writers to keep pushing towards their goals. I started this blog with just a thought. Exploring a very ‘dark’ side of me that has been fascinating me from childhood. I wanted to understand moods and feelings that would come from inspirations in every day life. Here’s what has come of this experiment…

As of May 2018 I’ve written 92 blog posts (north of 200k words), had 736 visitors, with readers around the world in several countries. I’m totally humbled. (This post will be slotted on the anniversary of the site even though I wrote it more than two months after the fact)

Huge thank you to everyone who stops by. When my offline world settles down and things feel back to normal… I am sure I will be a lot more consistent in my postings and story creation.

Cheers to a new year of posting. Another round of kink inspired fiction in the shallow end of the deep pools of darkness that is fantasy.
