The Original Inspiration

After seeing how a successfully published author took a photo of mine and ran with it… I feel so motivated to work hard to get my first book out and published.

The words were inspired from a photo session I did a long time ago with a friend. Enjoy the the photo and the words they inspired… below.

Gotta look the part of success yet can’t sell out on your hood.

Gotta look hot but not too much…others might just hate

There is little shade that’s safe…since the burn may come from the sun or a supposed friend
The balancing of one’s needs with the demands of a significant other, family, job, community….
Often, perched on hard surfaces…trying to make things look elegant and soft

Being a woman is a super hero type work…day in and day out
Which is why…anything I can do…she can do better in heels.

Thankfully…there are still a few good men who honor and respect the delicate balancing act and are willing to provide support, encouragement, kindness, and love…and more

The balance beam need not be faced alone…we need each other’s expertise…and as a team…neither will fall.
And the world will see….wonder…but we will know and understand each other…as we sit pretty doing as we do
