The Upside of Darkness

When the shackles of the vault reach out across the abyss to drag a soul back in…
When the desire to be with one’s love… seems within reach… despite all the headwinds

It is the nature of darkness to compel a man to chase all the more
For he knows, in her arms is his security

She’s his safe harbor from all storms
She’s the comfort that fuels his strength

Passionately, he will climb the highest mountains
Scale the largest walls, dig the deepest wells

All because, his soul is compelled to be with her
For she’s the fountain of youth that quenches his thirst

To hold her hips close to his face, as he surrenders his heart to hers
To caress her lower back as his eyes look up to her for light

Those vulnerable moments he only shows to his queen
Those moments that can’t be duplicated or shared with any other

This is the upside of the darkness that shields his vision from other vixens
This is the plus that keeps her secrets all hushed

The need. The desire. The ache. The want. The cravings.
All because she’s the life that he breathes.

There is no gap large enough
No chasm deep enough

He has to win her. He has to claim her. He has to have her.
Without her, darkness is a cold cruel sadistic beast

With her, darkness is passionate heat of lustful yearnings
With her, life has meaning

Without his darkness pointed squarely due north,
He is unable to savor all the pleasures she gives due south

It’s his darkness that keeps him from setting in the west and rising in the east
It’s his compass that keeps him true to the zenith of her moons

Captive to the honey her lips shares in kisses and words of encouragement,
He thrives to keep her smiling, happy, and joyful

Aggressively protective of her well-being, he works against his vault to be by her side at all times
For with her, he’s complete, even though he knows she doesn’t need him to be just as complete

After all the quiet contemplation from the safety of the darkness in his vault…
He emerges ever more focused to win his lady over and over and over again

There is always an upside to darkness when there’s a queen involved
For she’s the light that shines through and keeps his soul alive and well

The Upside of Darkness

Someone once said… “man’s weakness is his need of a woman in his life”. Whoever said that clearly does not understand the man’s drive for independence. No man wants to feel like he needs a crutch. But, let’s not forget, there’s always a clutch. She brings high-definition meaning, purpose, and clarity into his being.

The Darkened Vaulted Revelations

There is no understanding and compassion in the heart of a gentleman for the male who seeks to just take from a lady. There are some fellas who can’t bring themselves to chase the lady they want, and hope she will give chase so he is spared the work.

Those boys in men’s suits baffle the gentleman who understands the worth of pursuit. Men value the results of their hard work. They claim with pride what they’ve hunted on their own. Even if they enlist the help of others, they take credit for engineering the victory.

Wise is the man who understands that a caught woman will just as easily rise and continue her path. Such a man understands the need to continually chase her to keep her by his side.

For the fellas who question the insanity of this catch–22 cycle, understand this: A woman thrives in being valued enough to be chased. She will often test her security to see if the man will rise to the occasion. His vigilance can’t afford to rest. In the still of the night, she might just take a few steps. But when his hand finds her hips and draws her back, she smiles happily, albeit wickedly, for she has a king who knows her worth.

The single man will promise the world and offer it to the lady of his dreams. She often will look at him in puzzlement wondering where everyone else will live if he manages to reduce the world to a ball he can carry.

But when such a singleton grows up and realize, she’s not after the world, but his heart, he will understand the need to stay physically fit to keep chasing her. Because, should she walk away with his heart, the playful dark will become dreadful hell. Thus, he needs to stay fit to thrust, every time he catches her whenever he must.

But… but… where does all this chasing energy comes from?

The dark side my friend. The dark side.

See, the upside to the darkness is unrelenting fuel to get the glimmer of light that bounces off her eyes when she smiles. It’s the passion that breaks down the vault and catapults you to cherish her as if your life depended on her joy.

That’s why you see OG’s still grabbing the booties of their ladies, to remind them what is at stake. You’re mine and you’re not getting away. No matter how much that booty shakes and others comment on your milkshake, you’re staying right by my side, as the queen of my world.

Learn, young man, from the sages before you. Invest in good running shoes. Don’t leave your lady to run too far away. You’re not the only man with a sandwich to offer. Let your darkness thrive off her light. Stay close so you’re not lost in a cave. She’s the compass and the light. You’re the magnet and the fuel.

Darkness will power your fuel cells. It will revive you when the going gets tough. It will keep you humble so you can always support your lady. Stay in tune with your dark side. For it’s the only antennae that listens constantly to your lady’s soul. Feed her your darkness. Spill your seed deep inside of her. Leave your mark on her skin, with her consensual permission, so she knows which king owns her attention.

Your love’s retention plan is your redemption plan. Having her in your life is the morning light that allows you to conquer the corporate monster that demands of you to soften your ways and pronounce your feminine side. With her, you’re able to stay empathetic without being problematic about staying the dominant man you are. It’s the suave that keeps everyone craving your leadership. She gives you the language that speaks correctly without needing political adjustment.

The upside of darkness is simply the way by which it keeps you in the running, hunting, persevering… until you catch her long enough to ravish her… before running again.

Don’t worry. When you do catch her, you’re left satiated. Happy. Silly grin. Happily spent. And when she’s able to move again, you’ll just gently pull her close and enjoy her wiggle as she awakens your beast once again.

Those who don’t know trust based love don’t understand the joy of the chase. They lack the incentive to appreciate the darkness that fuels the lightness. In this catch–22 where you add and she multiplies giving you more to add for her to have more to multiply… therein lies the upside of darkness
