In full disclosure, at that time of writing this post, only one man had replied. His reply was in the vein of humor along the lines of a deep voice, authoritarian grip, use of a whip, and blindfold. Sub-title: Traits women wish every Dom masters

Speak to many men and ask them what they believe women want in a man and you’ll get a lot of different answers. Ask them what it takes to make a woman want to submit to them and answers start to quickly shift from plausible to unbelievable.

In other words, most men don’t have a clue what women want, what women expect, what women understand. In fact, men have been getting this so wrong for so long, it’s nearly in our DNA to misunderstand woman and treat them as less than equals. THIS HAS TO STOP!

Funnily enough, there are men who get it. Most of them got it together by simply listening. Quite frankly, listening with the purpose and intent of understanding is the key.

Adult humans are pretty smart creatures. They can learn and adapt to a lot of different information. So, fellas, let’s start listening intently, completely, and fully. We may just learn something.

Speaking of learning, this is why this bonus post is being created. I’ve learned by actually asking supporters of the site… and social media… to express themselves. I will be making some adjustments as I learn to apply what I’ve learned.

Being A Dom requires a lot of skills

Most people like to believe that certain things come naturally. It’s natural to know how to make love, it’s natural to know how to be a spouse, how to love, how to communicate. Sadly, it’s a set of skills that grow and evolve with time, when intentionally pursued.

Simply put, just the way we had to learn to become adults, we have to learn how to master adulthood. Wisdom comes with experience which comes through time.

One needs not be an expert at every possible skill-set a man needs to be a Dom, but one best be willing to learn and grow into the various skill-set our sub will need from us.

Conclusion

Women are all unique and different. They need different things at different times of their lives. A Dom is always able to assess what is needed and adjust accordingly. He’s not above asking for help or getting instructions to best serve his sub.

In several off-line conversations, women stressed the importance of a man’s willingness to submit himself to a higher power/purpose in order to continually grow his skills.

Women are way more forgiving than we give them credit for. But, over time, they grow tired of our crap. Before we wear their patience thin, let’s pay more attention and give them a better experience of our commitment to them. We might just find out that they want us in their lives as their Dom a whole life time.
