A look back in time to color the present does leave a wonderful future. Having fun does not have to follow strict societal rules. If anything, the people who have the most fun are the ones influencing the rules.

The same goes for writing about epic sagas of romance. One can’t just sit and create from the top of one’s head alone. Sometimes, influences on the heart leads the pen where it must go.

Miss AllyKat

In the very early days of this blog, via social media, a lady impressed with her love of ‘50s era fashion. Mix this with cars and other passions, the combination sparked ideas.

After a few privileged conversations, it became clear this lady was inspirational. Miss AllyKat is a wonderful lady who shares her love of fashion along with her love of cosplay and dance to create a lovely photographic profile.

The under tones of bondage play intrigued the creation of Shallows of Deep. She answered the questions this writer had and patiently allowed him to wade in the shallows at his comfortable pace.

The Ask

When the question of using her images for a story came up, she didn’t hesitate. To the great surprise of this author, Miss AllyKat put together a collection of amazing photos to inspire the first blog post.

Her impeccable patience was tested for months as the story seemed to be stuck in the pen. The writer was blocked by lack of skills. Through several efforts, and many other projects, the block finally gave way to a series of ideas.

These ideas, now nurtured and matured, seem to have found their way onto the page. While this is not the end of all the possible ideas, it is not wise to make another ask and lean on the patience of a queen so much. I’m sure she doesn’t mind, but let’s first find out her reaction to this first collaboration.

All future collaborative efforts will get listed at the bottom of this page. For now, we start with just one project. The future looks great and is filled with optimism.
