A lady holds herself to the highest of standards. It doesn’t matter what the situation is. There is little excuse for settling for anything less. A lady knows her worth.
Standard of Independence
Most people do not realize how much baggage society tries to press on us. We’re all weighed by some kind of drag from negativity and poisonous people.
Should we ever give in and lower our standards, we fall victim to the complicity of our lack of faith. Not everyone is so blessed to be “woke” and know the dire sadness of their situation. Some, thankfully, know and inspire the rest of us to elevate.
Lady Independence
The name came to be during an attempt to write a book for another blog. The project is currently on hold to favor writing for this blog. No worries, not only will the project resume eventually, it will give rise to more content for this blog as well.
Independence is a character partially influenced by a dear personal friend. Her drive to learn how to be her best self is contagious. She’s not accepting any relationships that put a drag on her happiness and ability to do her life’s calling.
The person who influences the character of Independence has been a long time supporter of my creative efforts. She’s given of her time to help me through dark passages of self doubt. She’s been featured in several pieces of writing in various forms.
Now, she graces the blog in several short stories through the means of her heels and love of fashion. While her identity will be concealed most of the time, it’s more to do with the nature of the content presented on the blog. Not everyone likes to blush at work.
The photos most likely will be from collaboration efforts with Independence. Safe for work in general. But, given how far apart the writer lives from Independence, some stock photography may need to be used… credit given when and where applicable and capable.
Nevertheless, this page is the home of Independence. Her character will be woven into several projects. The ones that will outright feature her will live here. The others, well, happy hunting for them on the blog 🙂
