When shooting photos in the dead of night, trying to showcase the beauty of jeans and nylon with heels… it’s best not to sit too close to the edge

The Ledge

Lady 10 takes center stage in what is supposed to be a quick photo test of lights. She’s asked to strike a few poses in the dead of night with limited artificial light and no natural light. To make matters worse, she’s repeatedly blasted with many points of flashes to illuminate the set of the photo session.

As the trooper that she is, the camera never caught a hint that she was not enjoying all the flash pops. Worse, she didn’t even show any signs of danger when she was asked to sit on the ledge.

It would not be until later in the session that the photographer would realize just how risky a move this photo session was.

Max Trust

A most valuable lesson about trust was established. One that can not be taken for granted. When someone trust you with their lives, it’s a beautiful gift that must be handled with extreme respect, reverence, and faithfulness. Of course, the utmost levels of accountability.

Lady 10’s courage was not lost on the photographer. The ways it touched his heart and imprinted an image in his soul… will find it’s way into the verses written on this blog in her honor.

Beneath the shallow appearances of just focusing on heels, there is a deep current of trust and respect. This many years later, with pride, these letters are being inked.

Lessons

Hindsight being what it is, the levels of trust shared were critical in setting the expectations of the types of trust expected and demanded in this modern era. Those who can not measure up are not allowed in the closest of circles of friendships.

Plus, when taking photos in a town, be sure to check the landscape during the day, before asking a lady to trust you during the night.
